Important Travel Information: Flying with Your Pet
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Regulations
As of 2021, the U.S. DOT no longer requires airlines to recognize Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) as covered legally to fly at no cost. While ESAs may still accompany you on flights, they are now classified as pets by most airlines and are subject to applicable pet fees. However, Psychiatric Service Dogs (PSDs) are still permitted to fly in the cabin at no additional cost, provided they meet the necessary qualifications.
Fees and Airline Policies for ESAs
Emotional Support Animals are now treated as regular pets by most U.S. airlines, and standard pet travel fees will apply.
Please note: Each airline has its own policies and requirements. We recommend checking with your airline directly before booking your travel or calling us to discuss your options.
